Mary Yang
Former team member Mary Yang is now working as a Biologist Intern at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge, a position supported by Refuge Friends, Inc. She works across the refuge, removing invasive species, restoring habitat and conducting surveys of various species including monarchs, bats and snakes. She has enjoyed learning more about native and invasive plant identification, and from her experience on the Mississippi River Green Team, she has become the invasive species expert among the interns.
Mary will be entering her junior year at Augsburg University and is pursuing a degree in Urban Studies with a double minor in Environmental Science and Sociology.
