Rasmien Vang

Former Green Teamer Rasmien Vang (2015-2017) is currently a garden assistant with the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board through the Teen Teamworks program. She spends her time at the JD Rivers’ Children’s Garden helping to plant, weed, harvest and other activities. Produce harvested from the garden is sold to the community — part of an effort to connect people to healthy food options. Rasmien also assists in the youth programs that come through the garden. She said the Green Team prepared her for working outside and she is happy that she can apply her skills at her new job.

Rasmien will be entering her sophomore year at the University of Minnesota Duluth and is pursuing a degree in environmental science.
