Yengsoua Lee

After leaving the Mississippi River Green Team, Yengsoua Lee found a job at Three Rivers Park District — Kroening Interpretive Center as a naturalist intern. There, he helped remove invasive plant species from the prairie, surveyed the local dragonfly populations, took care of the animals in the interpretive center and assisted with summer school and camp groups. He especially enjoyed interacting with the animals.

“Being on the Mississippi River Green Team has prepared me for this job by teaching me about invasive species,” Yengsoua said. He also notes that through the Mississippi River Green Team, he was able to “learn about the environment and apply it to my life knowledge.” Yengsoua hopes to go to college and eventually have a job in the environmental field.
