Mississippi River Story* that Inspired the Art:
“My family has always done road trips every year and on every single road trip, no matter how, or for lack of planning, my sister manages to get herself completely drenched. One brisk fall, we were walking along the Mississippi in the St. Paul area, and it was not quite icy, there were still rocks. And, me and her, we were probably, oh, 12 and 8 at the time, decided it would be fun to hop from rock to rock. Well, we don’t have towels with us because we aren’t planning on getting wet, but her foot slips on the rock, and she goes in, and comes out looking like a drenched rat. She has very long hair, at the time it went down to her butt, and it was freezing cold, and we felt so bad but, yeah, that’s my Mississippi story, is my sister getting cold and slightly frozen in fall times.”
